Perpetuous is a made-up word to go along with our made-up song... which is about how principles of cosmic and natural cycles manifest in our everyday lives.
It is also one of Keith's morning wakeup songs.
He says, "I woke up with the chorus chord progression in my head and immediately laid it down on my bedside recorder. Later that same afternoon after class, I was buzzing with typical post-class energy and laid down the accompanying bass line and melody.
"When Dell heard the chorus, he agreed that it could work as a Renjeaux track, so we developed it in Logic Pro, adding the lyrics and melodies for the verses and bridges, filling out instrumentation and arrangement.
"We enjoyed putting this track together: it is positive, uplifting, melodic, rich, and catchy."
intro chorus 1:
My love flows through the river to the sea
Her love falls from the heavens back to me (2x)
verse 1:
When my lover saw me, she ran to the sea, she saw
Then she smiled at me, we ran to the sea, we saw
As the sky met the sea, she smiled at me, we saw
She curled closer to me, the sky held the sea, we saw
bridge 1:
We stayed, we moved, we shimmered there
We played, we mooned, we giggled there
Our hearts released a torrent there
Our minds exploded everywhere!
chorus 2:
My love flows through the river to the sea
Her love falls from the heavens back to me
verse 2
We fell back to the sea, we did as we pleased, we saw
We felt buzzed as the bees, as high as the trees, we saw
She felt horny as me, the birds & the bees, we saw
She curled closer to me, our love was set free, we fly
bridge 2
Our hearts, we took into the air
We floa-ted free without a care
Our hearts released a torrent there
Our minds exploded everywhere!
chorus 3:
My love flows through the river to the sea
Her love falls from the heavens back to me
Our love belongs to no one, to be free
This world embodies our love, it’s all me.
chorus 4:
My love flows through the river to the sea
Her love falls from the heavens back to me
Our love belongs to no one, ever free
This world embodies our love, it’s all me.

Founded in 1984 in Corpus Christi, TX, Renjeaux (pron. "rahn-ZHOH") was a set of musically-inspired friends (Dell, Domingo,
Keith, Luis) realizing a dream of playing progressive ’80s new wave in the cultural desolation of early 1980s south Texas.
38 years later, Dell and Keith re-emerged with a set of new compositions that combine their decades of experience in life and music production....more
